Leon
Jones is not a happy man, and life just keeps getting more and more
complicated. Once he was a powerful sorcerer. Now he's a mercenary with a
conscience (sort of). But after surviving a near-fatal incident aboard the
Transcontinental Express he's out to find his former best friend Lucien
and thank him properly - perhaps with a good lynching.
Leon's
quest leads him to a supposedly derelict hotel called The Midland where
the 1930's never ended. His companion Z-Ball just wants to enjoy the beer
and have some fun with his hover-board, but Leon realises that events are
leading inexorably towards a whole heap of trouble. A magician's feud, an
Alsation dog and a woman called Veronica later, things really do start to
get messy.
